My father to marry us?

My fiancé and I don’t exactly have someone in mind to marry us. We were going to ask his previous pastor from his church but she cannot due to health reasons. My father is a judge and I’d love for him to marry us. However I want him to walk me down the aisle... Anyone have any ideas on how I could play that out??

That’s so sweet. I don’t see why he can’t walk you down the aisle and then step into place to be the officiant. I’ve never been to a wedding where this has been done but it seems like it would work. Maybe practice it ahead of time.

My brother was our officiant and he walked me down the aisle! When we got to the front of the room he just spun around and stayed up there with me 😂 it worked just fine!

He can do both! Once he walks you down, you can both move to your positions and the ceremony can began.

As others have said, he can walk you down then stand up there after. Some of my friends had their dad marry them (he was also all of our Pastor). Might look "different" because the officiant isn't standing with you FH, but it would work beautifully.

This would be so amazing!!! i don't see why he can't do both. just in the ceremony entrances your FH doesn't walk with the officiant. have him walk alone and then your father walk you down the aisle. once he hands you to your FH he can just take his place behind the microphone!

This is an awesome idea! I think he could definitely do both, just turn around once he gets down there.
