My Drive Up Wedding Due to Corona Pandemic

My Drive Up Wedding!
Hello my name is Nicole Matusik me and fiance Tim Bodnar were suppo to have a big wedding on March 28th, unfortunately due to the Corona Virus we had reschedule our wedding. As we are making millions of phone calls and trying to reschedule all our vendors and notify all our guest it was devastating. I said we can just get married at the court house on the 28th and have a reception later. Then tried to schdule that and they are not currently officiating weddings on Saturdays due to Corona virus. Its very important to to actually get married on the 28th, we have everything from cups, wall art, bathroom towels embroider with Bodnar's Est. 3/28/20. My father was also in a serious accident and worked so hard to be able to walk again by the 28th so he can walk me down. This all things no one ever planned for. As the number of recommendations of people together have dwindled down we have changed plans time after time from the park to know we are having a drive up wedding in Dyer Indiana on my fiance parents front lawn. We have grandparents and a child that are immuno compermized and have respiratory issues and know they would be so sad to miss us exchange or vows so thought of the drive up idea. As of today we have everything planned for 12pm om Saturday the 28th me my fiance and my uncle that is marrying us will stand in the grass. Social Distanced along with our siblings and parents all safely 6ft apart there will be less than 10 people outside and the rest will all be in there cars watching. This whole things has been truly a nightmare. A great photographer from our area was advertising he was going to take family photos for people from the street I I him and he offered to come and take pictures from the street after I emailed him telling him our story. All I want to do is marry my best friend and I feel like it's been a battle to make something work, and if a drive up wedding is a way or friends and family can watch then that is what we will do. Thank you for your time I Just wanted to share our story or our Corona pandemic drive up wedding craziness but we are staying positive and following all the rules as we want everyone to remain safe.

I am so impressed by your grit, determination and ability to rise above what has been thrown at us all by this crisis, and I'm sure it will be a wonderful, memorable wedding! Just think of the story (and the unique wedding pictures) you will have to tell your kids and grandkids, a family legend in the making!

Wow! Very creative! I saw just earlier today a church held a "drive in" service where people stayed in cars while they worshipped and listened to the preacher. I think that's actually a beautiful alternative. I hope you show pics and video footage. :-)

You are Awesome! I understand how you feel, and we are wrestling with changing our date, but I really want to keep the date, if not the party part.
