This was actually a bridemaid's dress. It looks more flattering in person looking straight on, which is a reason I will hire a professional photographer.

Glad I saw one similar to mine. I put on my dress and feel great in it, and then see other dresses and think, well this one doesn't look as bridal. I think it's because I originally wanted lace but straight on lace doesn't look flattering to me in the hips. Maybe I'll feel more bridal when I add a veil to it. Crazy how the mind works.

Your dress is beautiful and you look amazing in it!!! I'm a sucker for detailed backs, which is why I fell in love with mine. I really like the back of yours, too! I wouldn't worry about not looking bridal enough, I think it looks very bridal! Adding the veil will help though, I got more of a "bridal" feel after I did.

I love the slit! I wish I had looked at more dresses in this fabric and a slit.... I don't remember seeing anything close during my shopping trips though.
