My dress is so uncomfortable

Actually very similar to mine so I may be a little biased.

If you want lace on your dress you have two options, see if you can alter it to have it put on this dress or buy a new dress.

At the end of the day you should love your dress.

From reading so many posts on here about other people's alteration experiences it seems like a lot of people have had such good results and a seamstress who has really made them feel good and love their dress... maybe I had higher expectations than I should have had.

And I'm pissed at myself for picking so quickly to begin with!

If you want lace still you could also add a veil with lace trim

It happens, you were excited initially and thats to be expected. It then probably turned into feeling guilty and pressure to find the dress at that first appointment. It happens, but the matter at hand now is you don't love it.

You still have time to find a dress now, you may have to buy off rack but you have to do it now. There is no use crying over spilled milk.

What if you did a lace overlay on the skirt? It's too late to get a new dress unless you get off the rack. I'm sorry you felt pressured into this one, I did the same but luckily I had a lot of time and transferred my deposit to a dress I truly love. I hope you'll talk to your seamstress and find a solution so you can feel beautiful in it! I do honestly think you look amazing, but I know it doesn't matter when you don't feel that way in it.

My dad might kill me if i mention getting a new one since he bought this one for me lol. But I love the idea of a lace overlay! I'm going to ask about that at my next alterations appointment! Also, I'm small chested but I still feel like I'm falling out of the sides up top when I have it on. You can't tell in the picture though. Or maybe it's just because I'm not used to being "out there" like that lol idk. Either way the lady doing my alterations really just pushed away my concerns and didn't give me a good solution, she only said no one would notice what my concerns were.

I think it's a very pretty dress, and fits you beautifully! Maybe try to look at it without thinking of what you'd change if you went back in time. It's a simple gown so you can pretty much do whatever you want with accessories. A lace veil would look beautiful. You have room to play with some really awesome jewelry here too!!!

You could also add lace to the bodice or lace sleeves. Some places sell love overlays you can put on over your dress.

I agree that the dress looks absolutely lovely on you! And, I think the lace overlay would probably give you the feeling you're hoping for.

You really need to LOVE your dress your only getting married ONCE right???? I would sell that one and get you one You love or you will always ask your self what if???
