I also ordered the veil in light ivory based on what they suggested in the store I am so nervous but i think it should be fine.

Beautiful! If your dress isn't a pure white then ivory is perfect for it. If you ordered a pure white veil and your dress wasn't the exact same pure white it would photograph funky in the sun. My veil was technically a shade darker than my ivory dress but it looks like it matches perfectly when they are next to each other

Yea my dress is actually ivory it just doesn't look like it in the photos or in person honestly to me. But the veil i tried on is ivory and the store suggested getting light ivory just cause the normal ivory looked a little darker so I'm hoping it comes together perfectly when the veil comes in.
