I went dress shopping Ocotber 12th, and i got a call that my dress is already in and ready for pick up!
This dress is from Davids Bridal, im shocked that it was this quick!
Planning on picking it up on Friday and re trying it on. Hopefully i still have the feeling i had when i first tried it on!
Wow. Everything is starting to fall into place and feel so real

Are you sure they didn’t give you a sample? Most gowns take 6 months, it hasn’t even been three WEEKS.

I agree with PP, that’s seems INCREDIBLY quick. I was told 8-10 months for my gown. Less than one month seems fishy to me.

I think it might be different with David’s bridal. I just ordered mine from them this past Saturday (10-25) and they told me mine would be ready on 11-25-19

David’s bridal has many dresses already made and in stock, so they just need to be shipped from a warehouse. I don’t think yours is a sample.

I got my dress from David’s Bridal and it only took a little over month before it was shipped to the store. I don’t think you have anything to worry about.

I got mine in two weeks! It depends on the gown and what they had in stock. Nothing to worry about. Mine is gorgeous and pristine and clearly not a sample, so don't worry about the turn around.

My David's Bridal dress came in in just a month. Nothing about it looked like a sample, I'm sure it was in stock because it was a David's Bridal brand dress. If you had ordered a designer dress and it came in that soon, then maybe it would be fishy. But I wouldn't worry about it.

So exciting! I got mine from DB too and it came in super fast. It looked completely new, so don't worry about it being a sample Smiley smile

I'm sure it's not a sample. They would have had to tell you that. I got my dress from DB also, and it also came more quickly than they said. Different dresses have different timelines. They are generally custom-made, so ones that are more detailed or elaborately designed take longer. Also, I think they purposely tell you a time that is longer than expected. That way, when the dress doesn't come as quickly, they don't have a rush of angry brides beating down their doors. I ordered mine in early October last year. They said it would take 3-4 months. I was picking it up barely 2 months later.

So, just be happy you got it earlier than expected!!

One more thing: what other PPs said is true. DB does have some dresses already made, in warehouses all over the country. So, if the one you picked was one of those, then it makes sense that it came so quickly. But the actual stores have no idea what's in stock and what isn't. They treat every order as if it's going to have to be made, so they give you a longer timeline.
