My dress! Any other plus sized Hayley Paige brides?

Bridal sizing is such BS! I wear a 14 and have a larger chest. I am not a wooley mammoth, but not small either. I had to order a freaking size 22 in my dress. Say whatttttt???? She tells me that they typically run about 4 sizes small but with the added chest it was easier to order a size up rather than a custom cup. It was totally embarrassing to have to order a size 22! Plus the extra cost for it. I sat there thinking, this is your wedding dress, you want to feel incredible, why on Earth would they size them that way. Horrible!

I wanted the Haley Paige stripe dress, but the cost was just too much as I am paying myself. Kendra I think it was called. Love Love Love but too much $$ sadly.

You look fantastic in yours and I love the color. You will have to post your actual with the alterations for us all to see.

Thanks girl! I totally agree. I read somewhere that the sizing is that way because it was the industry standard in Europe or something and they just thought it was too much work to change everything. Ugh. I had to order in the 20's too and I am a 14-16 street size so I was a bit embarrassed to see that number. Oh well. As one PP said, it just matters if you are comfortable throughout the day and it makes you feel lovely. Thank you all so much for your comments xo

Love your dress and think you look amazing in it!! My dress is also HP (yay!) and I had to order a few sizes up- don't let it get your down, you look like an absolute bombshell in that dress and that's what matters!

Omg thank you ladies so much. This is really easing my "number" fears even though I know deep down they're irrelevant to the actual wedding. I just wish someone gave me a dang head's up on it because I had totally different expectations about my sizing. The ladies at the shop were so sweet, I am pretty sure they are used to thin brides because a. they are all super model-types, and b. when I asked if they ever fitted a plus size she kind of stuttered and was like "yeah we occasionally see them." Haha.

I knew I'd be a Hayley Paige bride the moment I saw her dresses on Pinterest! I love the flowy, ethereal feel of her dresses! I tried the Lorelei (similar to your dress) and loved it but fell in love with the Londyn. I saw a lot of plus size HP brides crusing the pre-worn wedding dress sites looking for deals, check there for pics!
