My diy cocktail table centerpieces

Fwbride, on April 12, 2019 at 9:45 AM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 8
My wedding is outside in July at an old bishop’s mansion. The cocktail hour will be by the pool. My question is; are these arrangements too simple for an elegant garden wedding? What should I add or remove?

Cocktail tables are really small and people are usually standing at them with drinks and appetizers so I don't think you need anything bigger than that! Centerpieces for cocktail tables are typically very small and understated. We only put a large candle on ours because we knew guests would be outside at the tables in the dark.

For cocktail hour tables, less is more , so definitely not too simple! A touch of character is nice, but keep in mind the tables are small and functionally important— you may have lots of people resting drinks and small
plates there at the same time, so, the more available space the better.

Theae are really lovely. I don’t think you need to change anything, but, watch how far out those longer fern-y (sorry I can’t think of a better word haha) pieces extend. I think they look fine in the pic but presuming you’ll have a couple, it’s the one detail I’d keep an eye on and watch out for. The most important factor id say is ensuring there aren’t leaves in the way of anyone’s reach Smiley smile

Thank you for your response! I will have a lot a good amount of seating around the pool area and only 8 cocktail tables for a 150+ wedding. I’m hoping that not everyone wants to stand around the tables. Should I have more?
