No Ashley, it's a replica, not a counterfeit. Replica means it was deliberately made based off a previous design or look. Counterfeit is if it deceptively passed off as if it was made by someone else, when it wasn't. Andeejai that dress is gorgeous and I had no idea it was even possible to get such gorgeous and custom made dresses from etsy. I think it's safe to say by the sheer volume of brides looking at and commenting on this post that everyone is interested in getting the most beautiful dress they can and the lovely picture you posted is inspiring us all to look at all our options! You go girl!

@Amy: Thank you soooo much for that! I am not sure why Ashley needed to say counterfeit, but like I told her, I appreciate the compliment anyway. Believe me, I researched for a VERY long time and it is possible to find a gorgeous dress at a fraction of the cost. If brides decide to go the replica route, they must understand how to be patient and not jump on the first dress that looks good based on stock photos. I always recommend to see actual photos on a mannequin and a real person. If they can send me those photos, then it is legit. Good thing with Etsy is you can actually contact Etsy members and ask for photos of the vendor's work. Most of the ladies are ok with sending photos of them in their dresses.

In most cases, ordering a dress from China does not end up so good, but I'm glad it did for you. Help support our economy by purchasing from US based companies.
