My centerpieces! Does this look good?

Marissa, on August 17, 2020 at 9:40 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 1 20

So this is the look I'm going for with our centerpieces. Both my FH and I drink whiskey/scotch and we have lots of empty bottles around our house, some of them have beautiful labels and bottle shapes so I wanted to utilize them and put fairy lights in them. (Although the one in the photo is not a whiskey bottle, it's just an example bottle I've been using to figure out everything lol).

Then with the flower arrangement I wanted something simple in these amber vases, with one big rose/flower, and greenery and branches sticking out. But I think this is what I'm struggling with the most. Is it too simple? Should I try different flowers/greenery, or does this look good as is? Should I add anything else to the centerpieces?

Also, with or without a table runner?

And white flower or red flower?

The tables will be round not rectangle and I left the plastic on the wood rounds so that will be taken off the day of. Any feedback is helpful. Thanks!

Those are super pretty!! I personally like the red flower, since the fairy lights are more white, but both options look good. Another idea would be to do two flowers (one red and one white) in each bottle.

I lean toward simple. Love the bottles and that they will all be different. So that's the focus I think.
White flower. Without the runner. Is my vote!

I love everything about your centerpieces ! it captures what you both want. I personally don't think it's too simple, I think you did a fantastic job! Both colors of red and white rose are good 😭😭 so any would look stunning!!! maybe all red for your guests and white for your table?y🥰 for a round table definitely no table runner maybe add eucalyptus leaves around the slice of wood and some baby breaths. If not definitely some small greenery around the slice of would can make it pop a bit more, other that looks great 👍

They look great! The flowers/greenery is personal preference but you can't go wrong either way.

Very cool bottles and centerpieces! White rose. I actually like without any candles because the fairy lights provide enough lighting and the grouping of 3 looks balanced without being too much.

Very pretty! I like the white flower without the runner, especially for a round table.

Red flower! It’s classic, represents romance and stands out off the table more than the white one.

I’m not a huge fan of the runner but we only see it in a limited context here. It may tie well in with your whole venue once everything is together - in which case you should keep it.

These look great!! I think they are simple but look awesome!! I love your vision!! Also, I was thinking you could do alternating white and red flowers for the tables. I personally don't like the runner but if you think its good then go for it!!

These look awesome!! I really like the single red and white blossoms as an accent!!

For the greenery I think the sprigs with the red flower look better - they give great height from the branches but since the leaves are lower down the arrangement still feels really balanced! 👌

They look absolutely gorgeous!! The only thing that I would maybe add to fill in some empty space is maybe some greenery or small decor pieces like a pine cone or something, or maybe a small frame with a picture of you two!
