You could make the wheels look like spider webs maybe?

Hey Molly! I am so loving hearing about your Halloween wedding!!

I had an idea that black feathers sticking out from the wheels would look really glamorous and still fit perfectly into your theme.

You could also add black roses to the wheels, similar to this image but not pink!

Or you could add greenery to the sides so that it fits in with everyone bouquet -

You will just need to be careful when thinking about how you would like to decorate it that nothing will get caught in the wheels while she is going down the aisle!

Ask her what she is comfortable with. After grad school I freelanced fitting wheelchairs and people are very particular about what they are willing to do with them.

PrettyCripple had a blog post about decorating chairs. Good luck.

These are some great ideas. I like the idea of adding a matching floral arrangement to her wheels. Ask your florist if he or she can arrange them in a way that they won't fall out or that they can be easily removed before the reception. Maybe they can knotted together along a removable ribbon.

My Grandma was escorted down the isle in a wheelchair by my cousin. My mom said it had something to do with the fact that Grandma didn't have time to break in the new shoes my aunt bought her and they were hurting her feet. During the reception, my mom gave her her own reception sneakers so that she could dance.

If your friend is carrying a bouquet and her chair isn't electric, you might want to consider talking to the groomsman who will be escorting her down the isle. If it is electric, you may want to talk to him anyway about the best way to walk down.

One of my bridesmaids had emergency back surgery and a heart attack right before our bachelorette trip to Disney. She still went! She used one of the parks motorized chairs to get around. She still has back pain, but doesn't need a chair anymore. She spoke to me right before the wedding and requested that no matter where she was in the lineup walking down, she would like to stand on the end during the ceremony in case she needed to sit down.

See this thread with the story:

Does the sanctuary have an accessible ramp? If there is no ramp, you may choose to have your bridal parties stand ascending the steps with your girl on the end, or have them all stand below the first step. Will a chair be removed for her by a friend or the staff so she can sit at her reception table, or will it already be set up so that she doesn't have to worry about it? In my Grandma's case, my mom hired someone she knew and trusted (not my cousin) to escort her and aid her throughout the day. My Grandma is in her upper nineties, so these accommodations were necessary for her to enjoy herself and my family to enjoy themselves without worrying about her.

I'm sure that your friend can handle herself, but you might want to make sure any accommodations she might need are in place in case she needs them.
