My biological mother is coming!!!

Dezandkamsmom, on June 12, 2019 at 6:35 PM Posted in Family and Relationships 0 8
I am terrified as to how my birth mother will act at my wedding. She is really mentally disturbed. On top of that she has always been an alcoholic and drug addict. She had 6 of us and didn't raise any of us. I love my step dad & do want him to walk me down the aisle but I wish she didn't have to be there. She has not been in my life consistently because of her mental breakdowns and issues...she has been married 10 times but remarried my stepdad that she has been with the longest. I wish I could have hidden that fact that we are getting married but she would have found out. I cannot describe this woman in words...I will update when its over and with pictures. Bless it!!!! Her being there is my only stress. She has no filter and wants all of the attention on here. And it is usually negative. Pray for a smooth wedding & reception July 6th!!! Thank you!

Thank you...I cannot describe her in words. I truly pray she can hold it together but she has no filter, no tact. I couldn’t have my step dad walk me down the aisle without her so it is what it is. Hopefully my sister will help contain her & her drama. 🙄

Sorry to hear about your Stress! Yes I hope both your Step dad and sister help out but hopefully you wont need it. I would however have tell the bartenders to have her on a drink minimum.

Try to ignore her and remember it's your special day and you deserve to be happy, and if she does get out of hand her the hall discreetly remove her.

Best wishes for you! Does your venue have some sort of security on hand? If so, I would give them a heads up about her and she could be taken to another room or removed entirely if she gets out of hand! If the venue doesn't have security, you could always still give the venue a heads up!

Good luck. if it helps maybe someone can try to keep her in check for you? By that I just mean kind of distract her and be with her in the night so she doesn't disturb you

Thank you! I pray my worst fears do not come true. All I want is to be happy on that day and her not ruin it.

Thank you. I talked to my cousin last night who is doing the ceremony & he said he will make sure things run smoothly. Whew!
