What are or were your must have photos the day of? Our photographer asked us to start on a list. Looking for ideas or photo inspiration. How do you decide?

Looking at other wedding photos online or of friends. I know I must have the veil flowing in the wind, fh and I on the dock with the bay, pics before, during and after sunset and the bride post in front of a window...oh and the hanging dress and getting ready with my MOH.

Maybe also think about any props you want to include

Something that was super helpful for us was looking at our venue in the location search on Instagram. We found tons of good poses and areas unique to our venue.

I saved a bunch of inspo photos on Pinterest and also listed them on paper. I also made sure to list groups/people I want photos with for sure. We have a lot of family coming from all over the world so it was important to us to make sure we have photos with them.

We looked at photos from our venue & at other photographers portfolios that had photographed at our venue. It was super helpful.

We figured (and our photographer confirmed) they’d take the standard pics: invitation suite, bouquet, first look, pics with family). But we tried to think of shots that were important to us: certain spots at our venue. We also asked for a few landscape-only shots to capture memories of our venue and the weather. We have a few gorgeous landscape photos for our home! We also asked for a huge focus on our decor, since we did so much DIY. And we asked for posed and candid pics of our guests since they looked fabulous and spent their weekend at our DW. We sent them photos as a gift.
