Must Do's in Hawaii?

Hannah, on June 20, 2019 at 4:30 PM Posted in Honeymoon 0 10
Hi everyone! So my husband suprised me on our wedding day, and my wedding gift from him was our honeymoon in Hawaii! It's a week long, and we wont be going until July 22nd-30th for work reasons.
We will be staying in Honolulu, at a hotel on Waikiki beach. I love surprises, so that's all I know! He still says I can look and plan for stuff to do!

So, what is something we must do while in Honolulu?

Or in general, on our honeymoon?

So funny! We are going to Hawaii July 22-29 (Maui & Oahu). In Oahu, we are doing the Ko Olina snuba tour and Kualoa Ranch ATV tour! We are staying at Four Seasons Ko Olina two nights and Turtle Bay two nights.

Girl, if you’re on Maui, you HAVE to do the road to Hana and/or sunset on Haleakalā. I just got back a few days ago from a girls trip and we LOVED those tours. Also, the Feast at Lele was awesome if you’re into the Luau scene.

The Polynesian cultural center was amazing, Dole plantation was interesting. We learned to surf and did other water sports.

As someone who gets car sick, I will be missing the road to Hana hahahaha! I have traumatizing memories from the 3 times we went there when I was younger. I'm excited for the luau, I went when I was younger & I like the more formal dining option. For the sunset at Haleakala, what time did you get up there to start the hike in the morning? I looked online for vehicle reservations and it said the 3:00 AM slot for the July date I'm looking at isn't released?

We are looking more at our itinerary this week, and we are thinking about going to these restaurants too:

    Poke Bar (Waikiki Beach Walk)

    Seven Brothers

    Karai Crab

Saturday/Sunday brunch at Four Seasons Ko Olina

    The Barefoot Bar

    Uncle's Fish Market & Grill

We also wanted to go to the Pearl Harbor Memorial. I just looked and all the tickets you can get in advance are sold out, ugh! So bummed I waited. The actual memorial is closed but there is still stuff you can see. We plan on going early one day to make sure we get in for the first come/first serve tickets.

For sunset we got picked up at 3:30pm to get there around 6pm since we were pretty much on the other side of the island. The 3am is for sunrise, which a lot of people said was amazing but we were told the sunset was less crowded.

Oh! Good point! We have a rental jeep while we are in Maui so maybe we will drive for sunset.

Sorry to hijack the thread a bit but I HIGHLY recommend Mama's Fish House when you're in Maui! It's definitely a splurge, but if you can swing it, 100% worth it!
