Music

So my FH and I have decided to have live music at our wedding. Has anyone else done this? Did you supplement "break times" with a downloaded playlist of songs, that bands don't typically play, but are traditional "dance" songs?

We went a wedding this summer that had a live jazz band. Please make sure you have the playlist and you test it at the venue before the actual day of. They had a playlist that they were going to use during the band breaks, but it didn't work once they hooked up the phone/ music player to the audio system. I know the groom was pissed, I think he created the playlist. But the breaks seemed really long since there wasn't any music playing during the breaks.

Perfect! Great advice. Thankfully its my Father in Laws band, so I am sure I can get all the testing I want/need to make sure we have proper sound for the venue.

I'm actually giving my playlist to my band manager via a Spotify link to then load into whatever system/device the band uses to play music for their breaks. We'll also use this time for toasts, a couple of table games, and some bride/groom games (like the shoe game) so they'll be some form of entertainment there as well. The playlist will have a mix of sit and eat songs and dance songs since I'm sure the goal is for more people to be dancing while the band is playing.
