I'm having a hard time deciding music for our ceremony. We hired a DJ and he sent me some sheets to fill out and it has so many options! There's spots for seating music for guests, seating music for patents, bridal party entry and ring bearer entry and that's just a few! It's a little overwhelming. So, my question is did you guys have different music for everyone or what did you do? ANY help or suggestions are greatly appreciated!

We are doing a selection of classical pieces while guests are arriving and getting seated. Then for the processional, we are doing one song, Thank You by Led Zeppelin. Then one song for the recessional, Signed, Sealed, Delivered, by Stevie Wonder. Then on to the reception.

It doesn't have to be that complicated. You can have different songs for different parts, but most of the time, the "walk" down the aisle isn't that long, so you won't need a full song for each set of people. If you are having parents and grandparents being escorted down the aisle before the bridal party, you could choose one song for that, and then something different for the bridal party.

I told my DJ to play any instrumental piano love songs for the guests seating.

We will have Disney instrumental songs playing as guests are arriving. We’ll most likely use Can You Feel The Love Tonight for the bridesmaids and When You Wish Upon A Star for me. As for reception entrances, we are still up in the air for those, but will use one for the entire bridal party and parents, and one for us.

For guests and pee ceremony we are having are DJ play some classical music nothing in particular. The entrance of wedding party, parents, and our dogs is one song. The entrance of myself and father is one song. Then exit after ceremony of us and wedding party is the same song. There will be a wedding party entrance song for reception and entrance song for us.

Our Dj was a friend of the family and he didn't give us something like this but he treated us like any other client and came over to sit down and talk about any entrances, special dances etc.

With my day of timeline so he can see how the music fits into the schedule, I gave him the lineup of my bridal party for the ceremony along with the song that the girls walked in to (guys were already standing upfront) and then the song I was entering to. Then I gave him the reception Lineup which also had a song for the BP and a song for hubby and I.

With the timeline I pinpointed the first dances and which songs to be played. Then I just created a general playlist on paper dividing fast songs, slow songs and dinner time songs.

Granted he didn't play all songs on our list and I totally forgot what was on the list one by one because it's honestly such a busy night. And I definitely wouldn't complain because he offered to do it at no cost lol but we did give him a monetary thank you.

Overall think about your timeline and which songs you want to fall where specifically

This is totally your personal preference. I only had one song for everyone. You might need more than one if you have a very long aisle and/or a very large wedding party, but you certainly don't need a separate song for everyone if you don't want to
