Music that will be played before the ceremony starts ?

Meme, on May 4, 2016 at 9:54 AM Posted in Planning 0 7

What are you having played during the 30 minutes before your wedding starts ? We are going against the grain with the music played during the wedding. My processional will be Unforgiven II - Instrumental version by Rock Hero. I will be coming down to Nothing Else Matters instrumental by Rock Hero. The processional is Got The Life by Korn. So I am clueless as to what I want played before the wedding begins. I feel like it should stick with the musical theme of the wedding. I was thinking 80's power ballads might work. Help !! Only 4 days until I must have this decision made.

An instrumental version of "Livin on a Prayer" by Bon Jovi maybe? "Don't Stop Believing" from Journey?

We used mostly classical renditions of popular songs mixed with Disney. I walked down to "Beauty and the Beast" by Jim Brickman. My bridal party walked down to the theme from the movie "Ice Castles."

I wouldn't worry about it honestly. Let your dj figure out a playlist that is compatible with your chosen taste for specific moments.

We gave our DJ specific song for our entrance, exit etc. But he will decide what to play as guests arrive and whatnot. He'll go with the vibe of the other songs we gave him.

Probably a couple of songs from the Vitamin String Quartet since it is one of their songs that I'll be walking down the aisle to. They play classical instrumental covers of popular rock/alternative songs. Pretty stuff.

I only chose the specific processional, recessional and bride entrance songs for mine. I told the church to just play whatever they wanted before the processional started. By that point, I was over making decisions and that music didn't matter to me since I wouldn't hear it anyway and didn't figure my guests would even notice it.

We are having a cellist and pianist for the ceremony. They have a standard list of music they play and I choose 8 songs from their list. I chose a specific song for bridal party entrance, my entrance, and recessional!

I agree with instrumental renditions of power ballads. If you ask your dj they will find it.
