Music for Bouquet Toss and Garter Removal/Throwing

Many people will tell you it's okay to skip them.

I've never seen a garter tossed, except for on TV, and I'm 30. The last time I saw a bouquet tossed, maybe 5 years ago?, no one wanted to participate, and it hit the floor.

Maybe pick a fun upbeat song that gets your guest excited to watch?

Many people on WW are not doing the bouquet/garter toss. It's a very outdated tradition. Every time I have seen a garter toss the guys just stand there and don't try to catch it. It is very uncomfortable and embarrassing for the bride. If you insist on doing it just pick something upbeat.

Scroll down and you'll see options for bouquet toss and garter toss. I don't know what I'll be doing for bouquet, but FH will probably pick Danger Zone for the garter toss.

Are you having a DJ? If so, he should have music for those activities.

If you are having a DJ, ask them for suggestions.

Every wedding I've been to has done garter and bouquet tosses but, I honestly don't remember what songs they did.

It's a very common practice where I am from to do the garter and bouquet tosses. I don't remember any specific songs, but some of them were just music, no singing, that was upbeat.

Bouquet toss we used girlfight by Brooke Valentine and for garter toss we did Pony by Ginuwine (super original I know)

Go on YouTube and look up songs to bouquet and garter tosses it helped me !

We are doing them both. FH wanted Pony by Ginuwine also... and claims he's going to dance. HA! Can't wait to see this. Keeping on with originality, Single Ladies by Beyonce for the bouquet toss.

My husband wanted "can't touch this" for the garter removal - it ended up being hysterical.

Ask your DJ. But maybe single ladies for the bouquet toss. And uptown funk for garter toss. Lol.

I see some people post this is outdated but every wedding i've been to has done these things and i went to a wedding 2 weeks ago. Alot of people do single ladies by beyonce or run the world by beyonce for the toss and for the garter alot of slow jamaican songs.

If it's something you're doing just because "that's what you do" then I just wanna let you know that you don't *have* to. I stopped participating in the bouquet toss years ago because it's humiliating and I get pissed when I'm at a wedding with one. (Not at the couple, just at the toss in general) Totally kills my mood. And the garter toss is mortifying (and I'm definitely not a prude- I just respect that most guys don't want to fight over the lingerie of their friend's wife).

So if you don't think about it too much it's easy to go for it, and if your friends and family expect it, more power to you. I personally feel like these events should die.

Also there'll be like 5 single people at the wedding and that's just not cool to single them out so it's just extra reason for me to not do one. Again, your situation could be different - just wanted to present another side.

Hmm food for thought! Thank you for being nice about it. I've never been offended by it but it definitely brings another perspective into it.
