Music for a Courthouse ceremony?

Holly, on August 29, 2020 at 4:32 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 3
Hi Brides-and Wives!
Has anyone had music or a musician at a courthouse ceremony?
My FH and I are brainstorming ideas of how to legally get married on our 10th anniversary while postponing our larger wedding. Our latest thought is a civil ceremony at cutest old courthouse we’ve ever seen on a weekend away in the mountains! The ceremony would be on the front lawn. It’s the perfect place to honor our anniversary in an intimate way. But since I grew up in a family of musicians, I can’t imagine getting married without hearing our song as we walk outside and as we leave with our photographer. Has anyone had a violinist or guitarist do something like that for them? Or set-up Bluetooth speakers for that purpose? (Either the courthouse witness or my FH would turn off/on the music from my FH’s phone.) Do you have any recommendations? TIA!

I work at a courthouse and have never seen or heard of that. In fact I know that there is usually a limit on how many people can be inside of the rooms when getting married in a courthouse.

Great, thanks for your insight! I did mention that the courthouse told us the ceremony would be on the lawn. I’ll ask them if the lawn is limited to six people.
