Music at Rehearsal Dinner

So... we are having our rehearsal at the Inn where we are getting married. This inn has a restaurant with a bar area in it. FMIL seems to really want some music there. Luckily, our DJ will be attending and also plays guitar and sings. Rehearsal starts at 7 and we have the venue until 10. Should we do the music or do you guys think it'd be a waste of time?? FH and I love live music but I'm worried not everyone will stay long enough to make having music worthwhile.

I wouldnʻt expect the musician friend to do it for free, an iPod would be fine if anything

Our DJ for the wedding is actually the one who plays and sings, and he will definitely be paid! LOL! He's being paid to come to the rehearsal because my mom is in panic mode about the ceremony and wants him there. Just don't know if music at the rehearsal will be too much
