Multiple wedding shower hosts. What do I do for gifts/ thank yous??

Private User, on March 3, 2015 at 4:32 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 8

So my MOH lives a little ways away from me, so her and my sister (and other bridesmaid) are getting everything together for my shower. My Fiancee's aunts and mother decided to step in also and do a joint one. So now I have all these people going in on my shower and its kind of overwhelming. How do I think all of them? Do thank you notes suffice? Do I need to get them a small gift? I have a very limited budget and thats a lot of people to buy stuff for!

I'm just buying a bottle of wine and giving a note. I only have two hosts though so it isn't as bad.

A thank you note is totally fine. Depending on their personalities, other ideas could be a small plant, candle, bad & body works-type products, bottle of wine, chocolate/coffee/tea, cute coffee mug or tumbler, etc. The Dollar Store or Marshalls/Home Goods/TJ Maxx are good places to look for these things!

Ooh I never thought to look at Marshalls and TJ Maxx. I will definitely have to keep my eyes open for that. It's just I don't have a lot of money to work with and everything I find on Pinterest is so expensive. I want cute, thoughtful and inexpensive!

Geez, with all of them hosting who is left to invite? I thinkunder your circumstances, i would go to the grocery store and buy a nice bouquet of flowers and just say "Heres a little something for the hostesses!" And a very nice thank note afterward to EACH of them. If you are young and broke they arent going to expect much. Ps ask your Mom! Lol

I had multiple hosts for my bridal shower with a limited budget as well. I ended up getting brown boxes and stuffing (the stuff that usually goes into an Easter basket...I can't think of the name of it but it's strings of crinkled paper lol) and placed a cheap candle from target and a cute packaged soap from target with a card that read "Thank you for 'showering' me with love and 'lighting' up my day!"

The whole thing probably cost $10 each?

@Mrs. Cheapskate- we both have absolutely HUGE extended families so the shower is going to be quite large. They need all that extra help. I was thinking about flowrs. Simple and lovely. Who doesnt like flowers?

@Mrs. B LOVE that idea. i love anything with super cute sayings!

I did find on Pinterst a Lemon body scrub- so it can go with the shower theme- super cute and can dress it up in a little mason jar.
