Multicultural dj

Start Googling & look on Facebook, if you're on there. I (fingers crossed) have finally found a DJ that can play Caribbean & American music. It's taken me about a month and a half to find him.

...outside of wanting them to speak another language, I have never understood why people assume you need a specific DJ to play music from another culture.

With the way it is done now, music from all over the world is available to basically anyone, but particularly those in the music business- especially DJ's. I have a regular old DJ who will be incorporating 3 different Arabic songs into my wedding music. As long as you have an artist/song to give them that you want, or at least an example of what you'd like, any decent DJ should be able to so this. **Again, that is with the exception of not requiring them to speak a secondary language, if that is an absolute requirement you will have a harder time...**

Thank you. I do have some artists and songs already in mind to play. Speaking another language is not a mandatory but would be a plus. I'll continue to do more searching.

Hey Michele, you can also use the WeddingWire vendor tab to help you find a DJ with a playlist that includes Brazilian music, I got a search started for you for DJs in the Richmond area who have an international library. These ones also offer bilingual MCs, though you'd have to click through each to see what languages they offer. I had a super quick look at a few and there are def ones who offer Spanish, though I didn't see Portuguese yet
