MUA and travel fees?

Future Mrs. Mash, on April 1, 2017 at 12:01 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 3

I'm looking to start choosing my MUA soon. One of the ladies I'm considering is charging me a $30 travel fee on top of $50 makeup just for the trial... I am totally not complaining about her needing to make money. I know it's an art, but my issue is that she refused the option for me to come to her and we only live about 15 minutes away from each other.

As I said, these aren't set in stone plans and I'm not 100% on who I want to use just yet, so I don't want to spend a lot of money on trials.

Suggestions? Is charging that much for travel fees typical? Maybe I'm overthinking it, maybe not.

Glad the fee doesn't seem too much. I don't mind paying her for her work, it just seemed like a lot for 15 minutes of driving.

And as far as why I couldn't come to her, I really have no idea lol.

My girl is waving the traveling fee cause she lives like 10 minutes away from venue. But she normal charges $30. She also did a free trial. So I'm lucky. She is incredible.

I have another lady who might be doing my makeup and she also offers a free trial, with me coming to her which I totally don't mind. I'm thinking I might try her first and if I like her, I won't have to pay the other trial fees lol. That's probably awful of me. But oh well.
