Mrs. Box??

That'll Be Mrs Small 2 U, on April 1, 2017 at 5:26 PM Posted in Planning 0 24

Would someone explain to me the purpose of a Mrs Box? I guess I just don't understand why someone would spend $85 on a box for a ring. Is it just to hold your wedding ring in? If so, why wouldn't people just purchase a really cute ring/trinket dish or a ring holder for a fraction of the cost?? Just curious.

Because weddings are a wild license to sell you anything possible.

I had never heard of this until googling it due to your post...and now I kinda want one! They're cute. But probably not worth the money.

I think the purpose is to serve as an "heirloom" if you wish to keep your rings in the family and so on.

I just want one cause they're pretty lol!

I just Googled too lol. Idk how I feel about spending that much on a box. Especially if I'm going to be wearing the rings. With that being said, we did buy this ring box (lol) from Things Remembered. It was $25. We got it engraved with our date. We're using it as an alternative to the ring pillow. ETA: they charge the engraving, not sure how much since we bought more things.

I just use the box my e ring came in. I also have 2 boxes from jewellery stores I got at some random time. I'd rather just ask a jeweler if I needed a new box.

I never heard of it until I just googled it. They're completely frivolous and overpriced...but so pretty and now I want one! Haha

I just did an Etsy search for "velvet ring box" though and there is a plethora of identical and much cheaper options.

I'm going to get a similar design on etsy after the wedding. I got a glass/gold one for the wedding photos. I'm fine with my e-ring box for right now but I want to get something with two rows to include the band.

They're not necessary but they're gorgeous props. I'll be getting one to use in detailed shots of my invitation suite and ring with flowers and ribbons. It's just a pretty and frivolous thing lol.

When I read the post title, I though you were contemplating a name change. I was going to seriously advise you against that one.

It's a thing to spend money on, that's all.

If you're looking for photo props, you could just hold the rings. It's free.
