I am struggling with finding a great song that will satisfy my fiance's taste in music (nothing country or modern pop). He likes foo fighters, john mayer, and dave matthews type music. His mom is such a sentimental person and I want to find a balance for the both of them. What suggestions do you guys have?

I agree with others that he should select the song with his mom. My husband and his mom danced to Stand By Me by Ben E. King.
