Mother/Father of the Bride Gifts

For my mom, I got a handkerchief embroidered with a bit from the book she used to read me. Remember the book I'll Love You Forever? So I got "I love you forever, I like you for always, as long as I'm living, my mommy you'll be". For my dad, I'm taking a picture of the two of us from when I was little and a picture of us from the wedding day, and putting them in a three picture frame with a sweet message written in the other slot.

My Dad wouldn't want anything to begin with so I'd probably buy edible stuff for him. Like his favorite chocolate covered raisins or chocolate clusters. Or I'd buy some Giant's tickets for us to go watch a game together. My Dad's more of an experience rather than material things kind of guy.

My Mother on the other hand loves the store Brighton that's in the mall. They have beautiful jewelry so after we'd find her dress for the wedding I'd go there on the hunt for a matching set that'll go with her dress. Her favorite gift that I've given her so far is this Concerto matching jewelry set I got her 2 Christmas's ago. She doesn't wear the necklace much but she loves the earrings and bracelet. Jewelry always works with my Mom lol especially from her favorite store.

Just get your parents what you think they'll like. I love your pocket watch idea but my Dad would never use it. If your Dad would and he'd like it then go for it! Good luck!

I personally would love a picture of myself and my child with a handwritten note. Tell them what they mean to you now why you still have them. It shouldn't be based upon the cost, but on the thought that goes into it.

A lot of people have said shop like it's their bday. I got my mom a ring from etsy, my dad is tbd...

@Allison- now I'm crying! So sweet! I'm doing the pictures for my Dad with a poem in the middle. I found some great ideas on Pinterest for parents gifts. No idea what to get my Mom. Probably something like I'm getting my Dad.
