Mother/daughter dance?

How many dances are you planning on having? You will want to avoid having too many in a row, guests can get restless, especially if the dances are before dinner. I think the idea is really sweet, so what about waiting a little while into the general dancing time and then dedicating a song to your mother and asking her to dance. It'll show your mom that you were thinking of her and wanted a special moment with her, but it lets the guests keep dancing and the party keep going.

I danced with my mom to "Mama's Song"! I love that song, and it sums it up for me and my mom perfectly. I didn't tell my mom beforehand what song I picked to dance with her... She BAWLED!! < 3

I was thinking of doing it later not right after the daddy/daughter and mother/son dance lol. I just didn't know if other people have done this and I know it mean the world to her if I dedicated something for her! And Rachel it makes me cry too! I know she'll love it when she hears it!! <3 thank you guys

My FH is dancing with my Mom to the song mother in law. Lol! She picked it out. I've never seen a bride dance with her mom but I almost always see the groom dance with both mothers. I think you and your mom dancing would be sweet.

I'm doing a mom daughter dance at my moms request. I'm doing an acoustic version of Queens "You're My Best Friend." To keep it from dragging my parent dances will be 2-3 minutes long each with no announcements in between.

A friend of mine did a Mother /daughter dance to Mama's song. Her mom totally wasn't expecting it and it was really sweet!
