Mother vs Step Mother

I am very close with my mother and my step mom; however they do not like each other very much.

I do not want my step mom to feel left out on the day of getting ready festivities, but my mom is not very open to her getting ready with us. What does one do?

If you want step mom there, then she is there.
Your mom can decide whether your wants are important enough for her to act like a grown up and suck it up, or if she doesn’t respect you then she can choose not to get ready with you.

This is about your mom respecting you and your choices, not about her feelings towards another person.
