Mother-Son Dance Alternatives

Sarah , on August 7, 2017 at 10:02 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 5

Hi, everyone! My fiancé's mother can unfortunately no longer walk and will have to be in a wheelchair for the wedding. My fiancé is shy and feels awkward about dancing with her in a wheelchair. He still wants to do something special for her, though. I suggested writing her a letter or giving her flowers. Does anyone else have any mother-son dance alternatives?

My fiancé doesn't speak to his mother. He's actually dancing with my mother.

Maybe he can make a simple photo slide show dedicated to her and pick out a song the way he would pick one for a dance and play the video instead to honor her still.

Those sound like good ideas, anything that would make her feel special and honored still. It definitely doesn't have to be a dance

Thank y'all so much! Those are great ideas! I love the idea of the slideshow.

Knowing my fiancé, he would just choreograph and dance FOR his mom being the goofball he is. But you noted that your fiancé is shy so that may not be the best option for him. I like the idea of a slideshow or a speech/letter
