Mother of the groom flowers?

Dee, on September 14, 2016 at 10:23 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 42

Are you supposed to give the Mother of the groom a corsage or something? I have no idea what the protocol on that. Thoughts, ideas?

Not sure what the "proper" way is, it might depend on region too. We're not doing it, and not doing boutonnieres for the fathers either.

The mothers typically get a corsage or a nosegay.

If your mom is getting a corsages then she should too. If not you can skip it.

Ours were pretty cheap (spray roses) about $15 each.

My mother said that if we ordered her or the MOG a corsage, she'd not attend the wedding... After our last fight I contemplated a full bouquet

I'm not gonna. I feel like it's a waste of money. But I'm not into flowers at all.

I'm making my bridal bouquets out of coffee filters. Smiley smile

I had my florist quote corsages for my mom, FMIL, and the three grandmothers...my mom and FMIL both said they didn't want one, so we're just giving them to the grandmothers now.

How do you all find such affordable corsages? Flowers seem to be worth their weight in gold here in NJ and corsages START at $35 and go up to $60... I'd love to find one for $15 because we've got two mothers and two grandmothers!
