Mother of the Bride/groom Dresses

Hi there!
I just wanted some opinions on colors for MOB/MOG dresses
At first discussion, FH said he wanted to wear grey so my mom looked at navy dresses, now he’s decided on wearing navy and I think my mom nixed wearing navy altogether to not match too much but I feel like it wouldn’t be a big deal if she wore navy, just depending on the dress.
My girls will be in burgundy and the men will be in navy with burgundy ties- Would it look odd for either mother to wear navy or burgundy?Thank you!

Not at all my mother in law is wearing navy and the men are wearing navy suits. It actually looks great together and isn’t the same exact color

The moms can wear whatever color they like--it's def not a big deal, like you said.

My mom wore navy, my MIL wore burgandy. I didn't give them any rules, I just let them pick their dresses and that's what they decided on.

Let her where whatever color she feels good in. She will only be on a few pictures anyway. Navy would look great.

Per tradition - MOB picks her color first and the MOG will pick an accent of it or another color in the wedding. We are doing the same color scheme with more gray tones than brown so my MIL and Mom are looking at Gray and Navy dresses.
