Girllllll my mom and his mom both are going to change dresses. One to ceremony and one to reception - even I'm not doing that and I'm the bride

My mother said she wants to buy something so nice she'll get buried in it too 🙄🤦

My mom didn’t spend a lot on her outfit, right under $100 I think, but she did stress over every detail.first choosing the right outfit, then Shoes, hair piece, brooch, jewelry. Even more than I did, lol.

Unless you are paying, not your business. Has it occurred to you that it is harder for many older women to find flattering dresses? My mom would likely say the minute I complain about anything she spends on herself will result in her not spending a nickel on me.

View Quoted Comment Wow ouch,😂 yes I understand that, she definitely finds it hard to find dresses that flatter her and mostly because she has insecurities about areas of her body. A lil bit of background- we live together and I know she can’t afford it and know it has to be that her boss and coworkers are encouraging her to do this. She has tried on quite a few dresses and out of the recent five I told her three of them were beautiful and very flattering and two were just too plain for mother of the bride. Also she was telling me that this customer came into the shop for alterations and she was a mother of a bride to be and her dress was $900 so that maybe why her budget changed🤦🏻‍♀️😂

Wow, I dont think she should spend that much and had the same discussion with my mother BUT she wants to feel that she looks right for you-I'm sure that's what she is thinking about. My mom wanted to make sure that I liked the dress, she somewhat matched the bridal party and that she was comfortable and looked nice in the dress,as well. Have fun!
