I’m still looking for my mom’s gift on my wedding day. Do you have any suggestion?

I’m still a long ways out, but my mom doesn’t care for physical gifts (or clutter as she calls it) and she never wears jewelry so that’s out. I’m thinking I’ll treat her to a girls day: mani/pedis, massages, dinner, maybe a paint night. I also thought about gifting her hair and make up for the wedding- but I know she would be uncomfortable with that. I was also thinking about doing a photo session with the kids when we get their outfits and getting her a canvas print, she could always use more pictures of the grandkids!

I got mine some jewelry but that's what she likes. Think about something she likes and how you can make it meaningful?

Those are great ideas!! My mom isn’t into ‘stuff’ either. But just loves time w her kids/grandkids. For Christmas my mom gifted my older nephews (they’re 15) a box w 12 envelopes. Each envelope has a month on it and inside was a ‘date’ (movies, dinner, mini golf etc) and on the 1st of each month they open it and figure out which movie or dinner place etc then call my mom to schedule the date. I’m kinda thinking of doing the same thing for my mom for the wedding but dates geared toward her and I (quilt shop hop day, nail day, etc)

I honestly haven’t thought about it yet! I’ve paid for her outfit and her hair/makeup so far and her hotel room. I think I might run out of cash to give her anything at the wedding. 😭
We’re going to have mini albums made from the same bookmaker as our wedding but that won’t be until well after the wedding.

My mom deserved her own honeymoon after my wedding (poor thing was so stressed!).

We got her a Spa gift card, an embroidered handkerchief, and a bottle of wine.

That’s really cute! I did something similar for FH for Christmas a couple years ago- a year of dates some simple and some more involved. When schedules get crazy it’s nice to have something already planned and kids really look forward to things like that!

I straight up asked my mom about this. She told me that she and MIL didn't want gifts. I respected that.

I got my mom the same thing as my bridesmaids because i know my mom loves to feel included and noticed so i thought it would be cute to have her be apart of those gifts. We got all of our wedding party and parents coffee cups (they’re all different) we got the men silly socks and personalized cufflinks. And we got the women robes, and personalized lockets. We’re also writing letters to all of them. I think the biggest thing is for it to reflect your relationships and friendships and make sure that it’s something that they love and will cherish!

I love the idea of a double frame:
One of you and her when you were a baby/little and a note in the second spot that says “Us on my Wedding Day”

We gave my mom a ring dish with a message from my husband, a wine tumbler that said "I survived my daughters wedding", a tote with her first initial on it, and we both wrote her a letter. We gave my fiance's mom a personalized handkerchief, a bracelet, we bought her dress, a tote, and a letter.
