They can wear whatever! You could suggest a color if they ask but I just let mine wear whatever

They can wear anything! My mom is planning on getting a dress in either the same or a similar color to my MOH. We're going to go shopping together and I can't wait!

There are no rules as to what color the mother of the bride should wear! If you had something specific in mind, let her know, but otherwise, I would let her choose.

I don’t think it should match your bridal party and then no I don’t think it has to be a certain color. I think I typically see more MoBs in silver and gold. My mom is wearing a deep purple but we also looked for burgundy or dark red. We were looking for colors that would at least coordinate but not be the same as my main wedding colors.

Anything goes except for white- our colors are red, charcoal and cream. My mother has passed but my step mom will probably wear a shade of charcoal (looks better on her then reds) & my FMIL was thinking of wearing a shade of red.

I have my mom wear one of the colors of my wedding. My colors were navy blue, burgundy & gold. My girls wore burgundy( wine thru David’s bridal) & I found a navy dress at Ross for my mom. I was at the store and saw it, ended up paying for it since i found it.

They can wear whatever you or they want. My mom is wearing a champagne flowy suit.

They can wear any color they would like. My colors were navy and burnt orange. My mom wore an emerald green dress.

We gave the moms no directives on their dress- although we did have the dads in suits at their request lol- we allowed them to pick what they wanted to wear.

My MIL asked if a black and white dress was okay with me. I laughed and said, "as long as you don't wear a tiara I'm good".
