Mother of the Bride dress color

The mother of the bride can wear whatever color she wants. The mothers do not need to be in the same color scheme as the bridal party.

As the other person said, technically the mom does not have to wear any particular color. However, I know a lot of moms ask for some guidance what to wear so they don't accidentally clash with anyone. I was going to go with burgundy but all my friends liked the dusty blue color better. Davids bridal recommends burgundy and no blue. When I I look at wedding pictures I don't see too many pictures of the Mom and Dad with the bridal party. I see bride and groom with mom and dad and I see bride and groom with wedding party so I think I might be ok?

View Quoted Comment That is true. Unless your siblings are Bridesmaids, the parents and wedding party won't be in the same photos. In the end It's your mom's decision. In my social circles, the parents always coordinate with the wedding colors but this isn't a requirement. It's whatever she feels most comfortable in and is appropriate for the formality of the event.
