Mother of bride and groom getting ready outfit

Hey,
So I decided to go with floral robes for my bridesmaids and I will wear a white one over pjs for the getting ready the morning of our wedding. I was initially going to do blue robes for my mom and mother in law, but if my mother in law decides to get her hair done in the salon in town with her mom (FH grandma) I think I robe would be silly to travel to the salon with. I was thinking of doing oversized button downs that say mother of bride and mother of the groom on them so they could wear during getting ready and any running around they may do during the morning.
Just wanted to get some opinions, I suck at envisioning things without seeing it all together. Do you think this will look alright for pics? I think my mom will enjoy a shirt over a robe as will my mil.. or any other suggestions for getting ready attire for them that wouldn’t be weird leaving the bridal suite before they change into their dresses?

Honestly, I would just let them wear whatever they are comfortable with. They don't need coordinating outfits to wear as they go about their morning, especially if they are going to outside of the bridal suite.

Let everyone wear whatever they are comfortable in as long as it doesn’t have to go over the head to be removed. Not everyone is comfortable in short robes regardless of age and not everyone needs to match.

I can see you wanting this as a gift to them or for pictures and all. I’m sure you wouldn’t be doing this if you didn’t already think they were comfortable... a button down shirt sounds great! You don’t even have to have it customized by saying MOH and all that (if they’re not comfortable.) maybe Just as a gift to them, customize it by making it something they would wear like a flannel or something that’s their type of style.

Thats what I was thinking. It's not so much for picture, but I mentioned it to my mom about giving her a button down to wear while she gets ready and she liked the idea and would keep it as a keepsake. I could do something else as a gift for the moms too for the day of like tumblers or something. Idk, there has been some difficulties with the day of and other shuff with my mil (a whole other story), so like I am suggesting if she wants to get her hair done w her mom and her friends and go to the salon in the morning before coming to the suite then it would also be a way she can feel included too was also my thoughts on this. bc initially she wanted them to come to the suite, but it's not that big and I'm trying to keep it more low key - bridesmaids, me, my mom, and her. i am just looking for a way to feel included if she wants to do part of the getting ready outside of the suite and give a cute memento from the getting ready/wedding day to my own mother. I guess I can ask her and see if she likes it too. and if not, get her something different than that. decisions, decisions haha
