I would let them wear whatever color they feel good in. They don’t have to match the wedding party.

They can wear whatever they want. Really, it's best that they match the formality of the event, but other than that, totally up to them.

Whatever outfit they feel beautiful and confident in. If they specifically ask you, you can say as much. No need for you to worry about dressing other people, you have enough to worry about.

I made sure to show both our mom's swatches of the bridesmaids color since my brother and his brother (and my grandmother) will be wearing this color and therefore our moms will be in pictures with them. Otherwise it doesn't really matter too much as the bridal party isn't usually in pictures with the parents. My bridal party is wearing a burgundy/wine color. My mom is going with a purple and his mom is going with a navy color.

My colors are similar to yours — burgundy and navy with accents of gold. I told my mom, FMIL and grandmother the wedding colors and let them pick. My mom is wearing navy blue (because blue is her favorite color), and my grandmother is wearing a light blue dress. My FMIL is still looking, but she likes navy too and will likely wear a navy dress. However, I’d be fine with whatever color she chooses (even if it’s not a wedding color).

They don't need to match anyone. Let them pick whatever dress they love.

They don't have to match! Whatever color they feel most beautiful and comfortable in. Our colors are gray, neutrals, creams, greenery. My mother is wanting to wear a champagne/gold dress while his mother likes a blush color!

I did show both of them swatches of our colors though just to make sure they didn't go for some out of the blue color. So their colors will compliment, however they will not match our wedding/wedding party!

Our colors are very similar we're burgundy, gold and the groom and groomsmen are wearing navy, the bridesmaids are in burgundy. my aunt (who is walking me down the aisle) is gonna wear dress in gold and FMIL wear a champagne color. There's nothing that says they need to match i don't think. They actually both picked the colors they wanted to begin with.

My FMIL and Mom asked me directly what color I would like them to wear because they didn’t have a preference so I encouraged a complimentary color to the wedding palette and/or with our season (Fall). I originally said whatever color they’re comfortable in. Most importantly, the dress should match the formality of your event.
