I have sleeve tattoos on both arms. I love my tattoos, and I chose a vintage-looking dress that I plan to dress up with red lipstick and a pin-up/50's look. The problem: My mother. She hates my tattoos, always has, and out of courtesy, I try to wear longer sleeved shirts around her to keep the peace.
Now, I know my wedding is supposed to be about ME, not her, but I know she's going to flip out and be difficult if I don't cover my arms. She babysits my son, so I really need to keep our relationship good. Part of me feels like I should just cover my arms because it will be easier than dealing with her, but the other part really resents having to plan my attire around one person.
