Is anyone else having their mom and dad walk them down the aisle? I was blessed with two amazing parents that have both put in so much time, love and support into my life and I want to honor them both...it feels weird to not have my mama walk me down. People said my mom was stealing my dads spotlight since they are both walking me down. My mom's response is he didn't make her by himself so he is not walking her down by himself

I did and it was one of the best wedding decisions I made! I was honored for both my parents to walk me down the aisle.

We are having both parents walk both of us brides down the aisle. We keep joking that moms get screwed in lesbian weddings cause neither mom even gets a dance. So we decided to have both of them walk us down the aisle and nobody has said anything weird to us

I always suggest both parents; a lot of couples don't even think this is a possibility. There are many of my brides who always thought that their dad would be the one to do that, but I like it, for both brides and grooms.

My parents are both giving me away, they both raised me and loved me and are helping us as much as they can, and I feel that they both raised me, they both deserve the honor of giving me away together. It's your day, youre getting married. Not anyone else Smiley smile

I am having both! I could not imagine my mom not walking me down the aisle with my dad. I gave her the option though, if she wanted to walk with us or watch us. She said it was up to me. I said she better be right next to me.

I'm in the same boat, my parents are still married and I want my mom to walk me down too. What's really heartbreaking is my dad started pouting immediately after I told him my wishes. My mom thought it was sweet. The wedding is still more than 4 months away so I'm letting it lie for now so he can get past that antiquated tradition. A couple hours later, she changed her mind and said only my dad should walk me down. They're paying for this wedding but this is something where money isn't involved and is my wish. A dark side to wedding planning.

It is a nice request, like you said of you mother's response. It probably is best to let your parents work it out to their preference -- even if you mother is catering to your father's preference. You can still askSmiley smile
