Most Memorable Date

As your engagement has passed and your wedding is days or months away, I would love to hear about the moment and day you knew your Fiancé was the one? What stood out to you that day and why was it memorable?

I don't think that there was any one specific day or moment that I recall consciously going from "maybe he's the one" to "he's definitely the one", though I knew I enjoyed spending time with him, and wanted to continue to do so. If I had to pick a day, I'd probably say the day we got engaged! The proposal was totally unexpected and such a surprise to me, but when I said yes, I felt so confident in saying yes to him, and I knew he was the one in that moment.

I’m the same and didn’t have any set moment I knew. We moved in together arguably too soon because I was having issues with my landlady and my lease was up, and of course we were worried that would ruin what had to that point been a great relationship. But once we were living together it just worked so well and felt so natural that it just kinda felt obvious that we’d take the next step at some point. His proposal was still a surprise, though. I wasn’t expecting it at all.

I never had a day. And I honestly still don’t. He doesn’t really have a day either. Every day we make each other laugh and smile. He always keeps me smiling and I do the same for him. We’ve just grown up and grown as people in our relationship. We never grew apart as we got older, we grew together (with our own personalities of course). I think it’s interesting how much our relationship parallels my grandparents journey as a couple. Maybe that could be the sign that he was one. I kinda suspected him proposing around our fourth anniversary because I expressed we can stay engaged for as long as we want. There’s no rule saying we have to plan right away.

We were PMing over Discord for a while after meeting in a mutual Godzilla server. I guess I knew he was the one when he was the only guy who could outsmart me without making me feel bad about it if that makes sense. When we met at a convention and saw each other in person for the first time, we just immediately clicked and we have been inseparable ever since. I don't exactly know when we considered ourselves boyfriend and girlfriend for the first time, there wasn't really any sort of define the relationship talk, we just started calling each other that naturally. I still have that Mothra pendant he gave me for our first Valentine's Day together and I will be wearing it when I walk down the aisle.

I was in a really bad mental spot in my life when I met my husband. Mostly living day to day; waiting for one day to end so I could get through the next day and so on. When I met him, there was an instant connection. It was a Friday night, and for the rest of the weekend we hung out together in our large group of mutual friends.

I think the Monday after he was texting me, saying he was happy to meet me and had fun that weekend, hoping we could hang out more. A storm was rolling in and I was out on my back porch, and I can pinpoint that day as almost being able to see the world in color again. I felt aware of myself in my body in relation to things around me for the first time in over a year, like I just woke up from a hazy dream.
Of course it was months or maybe years after that that I knew definitively he was the one, but I think deep down I knew that day, standing on my porch watching a storm roll in, that he was my one.
