Mosquitoes at ceremony?

Hi! I'm getting married in July and our ceremony will be outdoors at one of the nature areas where they do not control for mosquitoes and I know they will be bad. Originally I was thinking about using citronella candles, but we aren't allowed to burn anything in the area. I'll be giving out citronella bracelets and bug spray, but does anyone have any other suggestions on keeping them away?

I'm not sure there is much else you can do, besides pick a different venue or set up bug zappers.

Is just your ceremony outside? I would just have plenty of bug spray available for everyone. If it's just the ceremony it shouldn't be too long.

Thank you everyone! Yes, just the ceremony is outdoors and it shouldn't be more than 30 minutes long. I was thinking most people aren't going to be wanting to smell like bug spray for the indoor reception but not much else I can really do. I will probably buy a few of those patio shields and put them around the area. I like the afterbite idea!

I think the bracelets & bug spray out is a great idea. I have a "patio guard" I bought on Amazon for our deck, it works super well. Can you spray before the ceremony? You can buy a 24 hour "bug free zone" spray at most stores that may be worth spraying. Could you decorate with bug deterrent plants? Lavender, citronella, mint, etc.?

Our friends has an outdoor August ceremony and had a big spray table with a cute “Be smitten, not bitten” sign.
