Hello friends!!

Has anyone had a morning wedding or thought about one??

Honestly here is why I am debating one: I just met with a caterer and dinner food was soooooo high!! I was thinking if I had a 10:30-11 wedding start time I could have a bagel bar, fruit bar, something like that that I could put together to save money... but has anyone done anything similar that could help me with some ideas??

Thank you!!

Also! Depending on your venue and vendors you might have to have people help out to set up. We weren't able to set things up the night before so set up began at 8am and thankfully we had a wedding coordinator and staff to help get things done. We didn't want any friends or family to have to work that day.

We didn't have very much decorations aside from our florist arrangements and installation, programs, card box, welcome sign, program sign, guest book, bathroom kits, and a disco ball. I provided thorough documentation with diagrams so there were no questions.

The only thing to think about is how much time you'd need to get ready and what time you (and your friends/relatives) would have to get up in the morning. If you're going to need like 5 hours to get ready with your bridesmaids, I would say a morning wedding is not the best idea. But if you're fine with only an hour or so of getting ready, that's more ok.

I used to work with a girl who is getting married next February and she is having a brunch wedding. I would compare the costs!

I'm having a brunch wedding! It was an easy decision for FH and I. We love breakfast food. We are getting married in April! Thinking of an 11am ceremony time. My Bridesmaids and myself aren't super huge into makeup/hair so I don't think we will be having to get up at 5 or 6 to get ready. We will most likely be doing our own hair and makeup. My venue has a "bridal suite" for the bride and BM to get ready in, so we don't have to worry about traveling to a salon and then the venue.

The reception is at the same place. It's a barn wedding--outdoor ceremony and indoor reception. Mainly breakfast foods with some lunch-y options! We aren't really party people so no dance floor or anything. Probably some lawn games.
