Morning wedding and alcohol

LV BRIDE, on December 24, 2015 at 8:07 AM Posted in Planning 0 23

We are having a ceremony at 10am and a breakfast buffet to follow. I'm not sure with it being so early what to offer for alcohol. Mimosas and....?

You could do mimosas and bloody Mary's. Maybe some spiked coffee too?

Mimosas! Irish coffee! Champagne on it's own. Maybe even some spritzers.

I'd do a prosecco/champagne bar with pomegranate, peach, apricot, orange juices and chambord (to make kir royale) Beyond bloody marys and irish coffee, maybe just wine and I think you're good to go! Maybe a white sangria too.

I would do mimosas, screwdrivers, bloody Mary's, champagne and Irish coffee. That should cover most types of drinkers and give a good variety. You could have them pre-poured and sitting out on the buffet or have severs ask people and bring them out. Either works. Mostly depends if you are having kids attend.

MzRosaLu, that's great...mine doesn't it does include coffee, tea, and juices but alcohol I have to choose and add in. We are only having the kids from the BP attend.

Ok so I've got champagne on it's own, bloody mary's, mimosa's and wine? is that enough options?

I think you could ditch the wine. Add Irish coffee and I think you are covered.

I agree, that sounds great, but adding Irish coffee would be great. Bailey's is also great in coffee if you want to have that on hand.

Did we already establish that you are moving the ceremony indoors?

Celia - just how much of each of those would you put in the coffee. What a delightful sounding cup of coffee. Nobody questions what is in your Starbucks cup...

Irish coffee is always good. Even with it being morning I would offer decaf as well. Many people don't care for caffeine. Champagne/prosecco is nice and ok for mid day. Light, fruity things usually go over well.

Mimosa Bar! Have a bartender pour sparkling wine then let people add their own juices and garnishes. Here's a photo from my friend's shower that had one. It was amazing.
