Morning of/getting ready outfit

Molly, on September 23, 2020 at 12:56 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 13

Hello everyone! I have a white "bride" robe that i am wearing to get ready in. However, i was told to not wear straps the morning of the wedding because they will show as indents in pictures. I am bustier, so I can't go no-bra. Does anyone have any tips/what they did similar to this situation?

Thanks!

Also, getting it off can mess up hair and make up. I was told to wear a button down shirt and you can wear a regular bra. I bought with my DB credit a wedding day pajama set and the top is button down. I swear I am wearing that all day even to brunch with my girls prior. Maybe leggings in place of the short.

Sticky bra? If you’re with your close friends or family while getting ready, I don’t think being braless is a big deal. But if you aren’t comfortable with that, a sticky bra or sticky cups are the only thing thing I can think of.

I am busty (34G) and wore a normal bra while getting ready. If your bra fits correctly, you shouldn't really be getting indents. Or you can maybe wear a strapless bra (longline have a bit more support).

Yeah a short button down shirt. I am wearing my robe too while getting hair and make up done but the short button shirt will be under. Can you find a strapless bra? I am busty too so I may do that.

Bring a couple of pieces of cut foam, to put under the straps.

I wore a loose fitting bralette and took it off about an hour before putting my dress on and I was fine. DDDs, no bra, two photographers, and two videographers was not a combination that I wanted to deal with. You could also wear a bandeau.

I’ll be wearing a longline strapless bra. I’m top heavy as well and the support of my hips help keep the bra up

I wore a strapless bra and didn't have any problem with marks. My dress was open-back. I'm also not very busty though, so that may make a difference. A sticky bra could be an option too. Or get a robe with built-in cups? IDK if those exist.

I agree w a pp that maybe you could also do a sticky bra if that's it since you mentioned earlier that you're real close is very well. Although can I just say that I've been a bridesmaid plenty of time in almost every dress I wore with strapless and I wore a bra and I didn't notice any indentation. I would suggest maybe a very loose fitting sports bra maybe it won't leave the same indentation?

I’m also wearing a robe for getting ready. I didn’t really want a lot of stuff that said bride as I felt like I wouldn’t use it much after the wedding, but I chose a white silk with floral print. It definitely has an Asian vibe to the print, which I was going for since my FH is half Korean.

I’ll probably wear the strapless bra that I’m planning to wear with my dress. I totally get wanting to wear something to help the girls out, especially if you’re having the photographer capture those getting ready moments.

Check out boob tape. Noob boobs (I think is what it’s called) pretty awesome product that’ll hold you in pretty well for up to 12 hours.

Also are you planning on wearing any kind of bra or anything while you’re getting married? I say just wear that while you’re getting ready too
