Morning of

Tanya, on June 13, 2019 at 9:03 AM Posted in Planning 0 8
Can anyone here tell me how their morning of went? My wedding is at 7pm, pictures at 4pm getting ready at 1pm.
What I want is a relaxing morning, but everyone laughs when I say this out loud, am I being unrealistic?

You are not being unrealistic. I took a bubble bath. Did some reading. I soaked in every minute that morning. It was just nice sitting with my girls too and just talked not necessarily about what’s happening that day but just enjoying each other. Enjoy your relaxing morning. 😊

No, not if you're prepared. If your ceremony isn't until 7 pm, you should have plenty of time to accomplish everything without stressing out too much. My number one recommendation to avoid day of stress is to hire a DOC.

Luckily the venue owner is also my future SIL, so she’s already let me know she’s got me covered.

Oh my god I am doing the same thing on Saturday. I said I wanted to sleep til 9a, do my hair, get some brunch then get ready. It's because we have a later wedding we can do that. I've had friends with ceremonies in the earlier morning so they had to start their days off really early and that's usually the norm

I don't think you are being unrealistic. My wedding is at 6pm and I plan on doing the same exact thing. I didn't want a hectic morning running around worried I want it to be as easy as possible. Mimosa and breakfast with the girls, girl talk and laughter, hot bubble bath to take a minute away and gather my thoughts about whats about to take place and enjoy.....

I'm trying to make it relaxing! I'll get ready with 13 women (3 moms, 9 bridesmaids & me). I'm providing breakfast & lunch & mimosas, 4 hair and makeup artists, and two chair masseuses. We will get ready from 10 AM - 4 PM for our 5 PM ceremony. The bridal suite is at the venue, it's two large rooms and a bathroom with plenty of seating. I'll play music while we hangout. Our DOC will be there at noon and will handle all the prep for the wedding.

My morning was very relaxing. Our ceremony started at 4 and we did a first look. There was a bridal suite at my venue where we got ready, so once we got there in the morning, we were there for the day. We got through hair and make up a lot quicker than I thought (my sister was going to get ready with us, but she wasn't feeling well and decided to skip it, so we were one person short). The venue served us lunch and mimosas. I had music playing. It was fun and there were no issues. As long as you build in a time buffer, you can take it easy and relax.
