More than one hair and makeup trial?

When I got my hair trial done she did like 3 test styles. For example, If she starts with your hair down to half up to up I feel like that would work, that is kind of how mine went except I didn't attempt any down hair styles.

That's good to know @Emmy, she did a few test styles to see which you liked best?

I ended up doing two hair trials and two makeup trials to get what I wanted. The salon I used didn't charge for the second trials, since the whole point of the trial is figuring things out!

I haven't done my hair trial yet, but we're going to do 2-3 hair styles in the trial... Similar to what Emmy mentioned, start with down styles and work to an updo. For make up trials I didn't know who I was using yet and I booked an appointment with two different make up artists (one for my engagement party and one for engagement photos)... I ended up booking one of them and the bridal make up comes with one trial. (So really I've done two with her). Maybe ask if the make up artist will do two looks in the one trail? If not and you're unsure after one trail I would bite the bullet and pay for a second trial so that you're not disappointed on the big day.

I would ask if you could do them all at once, if not schedule a second appointment. Here are my hair and makeup trail pic below...

@Shoshana, good to hear they didn't charge for more than one trial... I'll have to ask them!

I did two makeup trials just because I wasn't thrilled with the first one. I decided I wasn't thrilled with the second one, either, so I opted just to do my own makeup. My MUA (who is also my regular hairdresser) wasn't upset at all.

I had one hair trial and 4 makeup trials. I loved the way my hair was so I didn't want another one but my makeup was awful the first 3 times. I had it done by 2 different people and they weren't getting what I wanted so I went to the 3rd girl and she was amazing. So happy I didn't settle.

I'm going for more than 1. I have a different style I'm wanting to try and I want to make sure it's all perfect for the day of.

I was initially only going to have one makeup trial (which was getting my makeup done for my e-pics) because the MUA did a great job. I think that I'm going to wind up having another one though, just to consider a couple of different looks. Not sure about hair; I'm quite confident of the style I want, so as long as she can pull it off in the trial I don't think I'll have more than one.
