so.....watching Say yes to the dress, darn that show lol, and i keep seeing these brides asking for monique lhuillier...they are gorgoues!!! but seem so high in price! has anyone here purchased a monique lhuillier (or any high fashion deisgner for discussion) and if so was it worth it!? it seems...

    They are def. more expensive than something you would find at DB, BUT the prices on the show are also hiked a little bit - it is a super popular place because of the show and in NYC... so figure around that but not necessarily that high.

    You might consider trying to find a dress at a sample sale. I know Kleinfeld holds them 4 times a year and most bridal salons do, too. You can save up to 70% on designer gowns.

    When I went dress shopping, I didn't have a budget in mind, just a particular style. I searched the internet and I came up with 2 dress choices. My mom was a little turned off by the initial price quote that I received, but I didn't care. (I paid for my own dress) I went to the bridal salon and they actually didn't have my dress in stock. It turned out that I had just made the cut off. My dress was being discontinued the following week. I took that as a sign and just ordered it. When I finally did try it on, I loved it because it was me. I think that you really can't put a price on happiness. Peolple spend money on things that are important to them.
