Moissanite

Peachie, on October 13, 2016 at 11:19 AM Posted in Planning 0 15

Hello, we have been looking at Moissanite, is there any jeweler in Tampa or in the bay area has that them? I want to see for my self what they look like and would prefer to buy locally. I have been seeing them also online from different places, from my understanding Mossainite is only from one company so everybody else is fake, am I wrong? I'm thinking maybe they bought stone from C&C and set them to sell? thanks for the help

I believe one place makes the stone, but a LOT of places sell them.

I absolutely do not mean to chase you away from these boards but I see a LOT of moissy posts on wedding bee, so you might be able to find a ton of comparison pics on those boards. I'm sure some women here have them too but Wedding Bee tends to have more action on ring threads.

I've heard the Forever One stone is really quite popular and indistinguishable from a diamond.

Just call around your local jewelers. Usually they will order the stone from C&C and set it themselves, that's what our jeweler near us told us.

FH ordered from Mossianite Co and I couldn't be happier. I get so many compliments! its a Forever One, and when I wore it next to my moms diamond a similar size and cut, mine was more firey and hers looked cloudy.

DH ordered one from Target believe it or not to see what it looked like in person/to show me. We ended up going a different route, but Target had free return shipping on it. Might be an option. We couldn't find any store that physically carried it, only online vendors.

I second the suggestion to check out weddingbee. They have a ton of ladies with different stones who are very knowledgeable and their ring threads seem to move pretty quick. If you search their forums too, you can find a lot of pics of different moissanite rings.

Charles & Colvard is the manufacturer but many jewelers sell the stones. However most sell the stone that has a slightly greenish/yellow tint. The forever brilliant and forever one are the next steps up and are very beautiful. The jeweler would need to order the better looking stones. I have a forever brilliant stone in my ring!

My FH ordered from Moissanite Co and I absolutely LOVE it. It really is a fantastic option, especially since I really wanted an Eco-friendly ring.

ETA: I'm pretty sure he got the Forever One stone.

I showed Kiefer this ring and they said they can custom make it and order a mossenite so i'll see how much it will cost if done locally https://www.moissaniteco.com/images/eng382.jpg

You are correct Kelsey the Forever one is the newest one and is colorless, the lady in Kiefer said she just custom made one a couple of weeks ago and she could not even tell the difference by just looking at it

By the way I stumbled on this jewelry coin place in st petersburg from Yelp and their website is amazing you can custom make your ring by choosing everything even the side stones and you can even customize mixing stones from main stone and side stones. They also have mossanite in house

I found Liry's in Hanley can order the forever one and their price is very decent. we might buy the stone online and get the setting from Lord of gems and have a local jeweler set them.

I have a moissanite ring and and couldn't love it more. DH ordered it from moissaniteco and he upgraded to the forever brilliant. For quality and cost, you can't go wrong. They also have a generous return policy if you're unsatisfied for any reason. Geez, I sound like an ad. haha

I am also looking at that site, i brought the picture of the ring to Liry's and their prices are a lot less almost $300 less, i think they can get the mossanite cheaper, i also saw in ebay for loose stone and some jeweler sells it a lot less than Mossaniteco for the forever one. not sure which way to go lol
