Does anyone have a e-ring or a pave band with moissanite side stones instead of diamond side stones? I'm looking to customize a pave band with moissanite, but doing so with make the ring non-returnable so I wanted to reach out and see if anyone has any experience to share!
The jeweler says that when compared to diamond side stones, moissanite side stones are inferior due to the huge diamond side stone business in making sure the diamonds are cut so they shine brilliantly. However, he assured me that they'd still have their gemologist hand pick out the best 29 side stones from a larger bath of 100+ moissanite side stones. I'm not as worried about a moissanite pave band comparing to a diamond pave band. I think they'll still look beautiful. I'm more concerned about the durability of the smaller moissanite stones. Technically they're more fragile, but should they be strong enough to withstand normal, everyday wear and tear?
