moh Difficulty

Rosemarie, on August 6, 2019 at 2:21 PM Posted in Family and Relationships 0 6
I could really use some advice. I went shopping for wedding bands and my MOH flipped out on me saying that my engagement ring/wedding band look too much like hers. My immediate reaction was to calm her down and explain how different my set was from hers. Then I texted her after and explained how much her comments hurt me, and how they unnecessarily took away my happiness during an exciting moment. She never answered my text. And it’s been several days since then. We usually talk multiple times a day. I decided to give her a call this morning; she never answered or returned the call. I’m really not sure what to do. I’m so upset every time I think about my wedding because all I think about is not having a MOH, and no longer being friends with her. She’s never been the type of person to be so petty, and she had a baby two months ago. I’m thinking it is post-partum hormones. I reacted way nicer than I should have, yet still she is avoiding me like I did something wrong. I truly believe that wedding bands represent the love you share with your spouse and nothing to do with friends. I always try to be as supportive as I can, but now I’m getting the cold shoulder and completely ignored. My wedding is coming up and I really don’t have another friend that I am that close to that I would feel comfortable making my MOH. Any experience with this or advice would be appreciated.

I would just give her space. After a couple of weeks, perhaps you could reach out again.

I agree. Try not to press the subject too much!

I agree with all above me. She might need some time.

I'm sorry this happened. You should have the ring you love. If it's similar to hers..so be it. People can have the same taste in things.

That's ridiculous. I'm hoping it is just hormones and she's busy with the baby. Reach out in two weeks or so and see what happens.

She probably just needs some time. Your wedding is a ways away, so I definitely wouldn't count her out of your wedding.
